Kingston the
Villa
Take the
A1 towards Spanish Town. At Spanish Town bear left on to the A2 heading west
towards Maypen. After c18 miles about 4 miles before Maypen bear left to bypass
the town. 24 miles or so later just before Mandeville the A2 takes you north of
the town. About 35 miles later pass through the centre of Santa Cruz. 10 or so
miles later drive through Bamboo Avenue carry on for another 10 miles or so
through New Holland, Middle Quarters and Baptist. 3 miles after Baptist is
Luana. Turn right off the A2 and continue for 4 miles to Sandy Ground where you
will rejoin the A2 towards Whitehouse. 4 miles from where you rejoined the A2
you will see on your left women selling Bammy and Fried Fish. Carry on for
another 3 miles until you reach Whitehouse. About 1½ miles after Whitehouse you
will see the entrance to the Tropical Sunshine Estate. Turn right into the
estate and then take the first left then the first left again and Hummingbird
Villa is the last house on the right. Main Gates have a Palm Tree
design.

Montego Bay to the Villa Take the A1 from the Airport south then west to Reading. Turn left on to the B8 to Ferris Cross. Turn left on to the B2 towards Whitehouse. After about 10 miles on the right will be the entrance to Sandals just over a mile further the entrance to the Tropical Sunshine Estate is on the left. Turn in to the estate and take the first left, then first left again. Hummingbird Villa is the last on the right. Hummingbird Villa is located on the South West coast of Jamaica in Culloden
about 40 miles from Montego Bay and about
one mile east of Whitehouse. Whitehouse has a superb fish market,
local shops, garage, post office and supermarket.
5 miles to the West is Bluefields a popular
undeveloped beach with several small bars and restaurants. A further
15 miles to the West is
Savanna-la-Mar a bustling market town well worth a visit. Continuing West
for another 18 miles brings you to Negril , a popular
tourist area with many bars a long the several miles
of sandy beaches. Negril also has a public golf
course Heading East from Hummingbird Villa interesting places to visit include Bamboo Avenue, YS and Maggotty Falls and Lovers Leap. A good day out is drive to Montego Bay and take the North Coast Road east to Green Grotto Cave, Dunns River Falls, Ocho Rios and the Bob Marley Mausoleum |
